Mechanical engraving on stone gives a very different result compared to laser engraving. Impact etching is a revolutionary yet simple stone engraving technology purpose built for monument companies.

Stone laser etching and engraving works best on polished dark or natural stones. It is achieved owing to the high resolution ability of the stone laser machine and particularly the ability to engrave with resolutions of up to 1000 dpi. It is the most practical solution for engraving portraits and scenes on granite. Laser engraving superficially ablates or discolour the surface of the stone giving a bleached effect whilst mechanical engraving physically cuts in depth into the material.
